War and NATO enter a new phase

If you think that this is the end of it, you haven't been paying attention. NATO has done a good job of pouring gasoline on troubled waters, and now we may all suffer the conflagration.

What's in store? Most likely a new wave of refugees will leave Kosovo, this time Serbian and other minorities. A ground war with the KLA is a distinct possibility in the next few years. Furthermore, there is a risk of conflict with the Russian forces, and possibly the Serbian army as well. Meanwhile, NATO appears set to continue its new-found war-interventionist mantra, and it's anyones guess where. With the support of their newly anti-west citizenry, Russia, China, and others "on the outside", will decide to upgrade their nuclear capabilities, while countries like India and Pakistan try to mimic the Cold War's MAD policies. The world is definitely a more dangerous place than it was three months ago.

What we need is more information. More realistic geopolitical thinking. More principled stands. More alternatives to war.

I will no longer be maintaining the news links on this page on a regular basis. I will be devoting my "spare" hours to other longer term initiatives for peace and freedom. I would recommend that you visit one of the Selected News Services I have listed for current news. And please support the following excellent organizations who can provide a useful antidote to politicians, kings, generals, and a complacent media.
